Unmanned Aerial Systems MI-UASC is the North East USA prime UAS training and development center of choice. Located at the Alpena County Regional Airport in beautiful Michigan, the test site has unique assets tailored made to your needs and requirements! We have one of the largest and most diversified airspace complexes in the US. We offer the full spectrum of UAS operations, including renting, purchasing, operating, fixed base operations, manufacturing, repair and overhaul activities/services. On the R&D side, MI-UASC offers state-of-the-art testing and development facilities, labs and equipment along with dedicated military operating and restricted airspaces for industry, military, private operators and academia.
Alpena County airport is home to the Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) which operates the airport’s control tower and manages the entire military and restricted airspace. The CRTC is equipped with the latest DASR 11 radar, enabling air traffic controllers to see and track the smallest UAS and provide a safe airspace for all manned and unmanned aircraft.
